ReLoad is Metallica's 7th studio album, released on November 17, 1997. ReLoad was a sequel of Load, which came out one year earlier.

Metallica originally planned to release material on Load and ReLoad as a double album, but later made a decision to release two separate albums, mainly because it was difficult for James to finish lyrics for all the songs in a relatively short time.
