This was the second show of the World Magnetic Tour. October 23 is a Robert Trujillo's birthday, so the remaining members of Metallica and many crew members took the opportunity to throw as many pies at Robert as possible at the end of the show.

Spider-Dan posted the following entry in the MetOnTour diary:

"WOW!!! Those were some loud motherfuckers in Albuquerque! It's been 11 years since Metallica played in Albuquerque and the fans must've been storing all kinds of energy during that time because they were LOUD and way into the show. What a great show for Robert to celebrate his birthday ... and did he get the pie-ing of a lifetime! Happy Birthday Robert and Thank You Albuquerque!"
