Kirk Hammett
From MetallicaWiki
Kirk Hammett is the lead guitar player of Metallica. He was born on November 18, 1962, which makes him the oldest Metallica member (although all four members of Metallica are roughly the same age).
Hammett joined the band in 1983, just before Metallica entered the studio to record the debut album Kill 'Em All. He replaced Dave Mustaine, who was sacked for his alcoholism and personal conflicts with Hetfield and Ulrich.
Personal life
Kirk's first marriage with Rebecca lasted 3 years and ended in 1990, during recording of the Black Album.
Kirk is married to Lani. They have two sons, Angel Ray Keala Hammett (born September 29, 2006) and Vincenzo Kainalu Hammett (born June 28, 2008).
