"Invisible Kid" is the fifth track off of Metallica's 7th studio album, St. Anger The guitar tuning is (dropped, like the entire album) to what is considered baritone guitar tuning.

The vocals have been compared to Maynard James Keenan of Tool. THe vocals are also very off-key in some points of the song.

The drums have the signature St. Anger snares off sound.

"Invisible Kid" is rumored to be written about guitarist Kirk Hammett. As a child he was abused by his father and neighbor. Also, on the rehearsals DVD of St. ANger, specifically on this track, Kirk Hammett's guitar says, "I am Invisible Kid."
