"Hero of the Day" is off of Metallica's sixth studio album, Load. It is one of few Metallica songs to be written almost entirely in a major key. There is a music video for this song. The video features a youth in a one-room house watching several television shows all starring Metallica members. "Hero of the Day" was also performed on "S&M," played with an accompaniment by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
